Phentermine Withdrawal

Phentermine is an extremely effective short-term use drug that can be used as a tool for assisting obese individuals in losing weight while building healthy lifestyle habits to maintain a proper body mass index (BMI). This being said, Phentermine is a serious prescription strength drug that can be easily misused. Therefore, it is important to use Phentermine precisely according to the directions provided by the prescribing doctor. Along with your doctor’s assistance, you will be able to monitor your progress with the drug, including any possible side effects, your lifestyle habits such as eating properly and exercising, and ensure that you have the right dosage without causing Phentermine addiction, which can lead to severe withdrawal symptoms.

Phentermine Withdrawal

Phentermine withdrawal can occur in patients who have taken either too much of this medication or for too long.

Phentermine is prescribed for people whose body mass index (BMI) is greater than thirty. It allows these patients to lose weight more comfortably with a reduction in hunger and a boost in energy so that they can decrease their food intake and exercise with greater ease. However, the drug can only be used for a period of six to twelve weeks, with efficacy decreasing as soon as four to six weeks depending on dosage and the tolerance level of the body. As long as the drug is used properly, without increasing the dose when the drug’s effectiveness begins to wane, and without using these pills for longer than a twelve week period, addiction and withdrawal should be minimized.

In order to help to ensure that the patient can stay on track and not regain the weight after the use of the drug is started, special care should be taken to ensure that the right eating and exercising habits are built while being assisted by the drug. Then, after the drug has been halted and the body’s tolerance level has been allowed to decrease over a resting period, the drug may be started again, if needed. This helps to keep up all of the benefits of the drug and healthy dieting habits, without building up an addiction that will cause phentermine withdrawal.

If misused, the Phentermine can lead to withdrawal symptoms such as extreme fatigue, depression, and/or an overall unfocused or fuzzy brain feeling. No matter the diet plan or how long the drug has been used, any side effects or withdrawal symptoms should always be reported to the prescribing doctor so that appropriate action for continuation with the drug or discontinuing the drug can be decided.

I’ve been a long time user of phentermine on and off. The beginning was great lost 40 lbs. Quick! Then my body got so used to taking this drug. I started developing problems with allergies caused by stress that I believe was caused by this drug. Your body is awake almost like crack. And it stresses your physical body out causing sore neck and back, bodyaches. Not enough rest = health problems!! I can’t even take phentermine anymore. It’s like my body is allergic to it like caffine intolerance. I get a fuzzy brain feeling for a whole week like verdigio. And every now and then I will get it. I found out in order to continue loosing weight you need to take iodine. This pill throws off your thyriod and causes all sorts of problems. I recommended this pill to my friends when I lost my 40 lbs. But now….NO WAY!! Stay AWAY!! It’s so bad for u. Go to the nutrition store get active multi vitamins, b-12, iodine/potassium, carb blockers & a pre- work out booster. Much healthier for you. Believe me. DO NOT TAKE PHENTERMINE MORE THEN A YEAR MAX!!!
